Welcoming a New Member
February 9, 2008 Trussville News No CommentsWhat a great day to do business!
Our BNI chapter meeting this morning was packed with eager participants ready to do business networking.
In celebration of International Networking Week, we continued our push to 40+ members. Our newest member, Todd Sims with Jett Net Security Systems, was inducted and immediately greeted with business referrals. We also adopted “Send Out Cards” from member Terry Richmond as the Trussville chapter’s visitor invitation and follow up resource. Personalized for our chapter, Send Out Cards will help us to stand out and give potential members a reference guide to our member’s business names, phone numbers, and description of products or services. The members reponded to a questionnaire of the business categories we will be inviting to visit and apply for membership.
Visting with us this morning was Zach Archalleta from WTTO-21 / WABM68. We hope to see Zach back next week for a 2nd visit.
Jeff Wilson delivered the networking education on how important 1 to 1s are to increasing referrals. He announced the 1 to 1 contest for getting monthly dues paid.
Our sales manager minute concentrated on how each member determined would like to have referrals handled. Many preferred members leave their card and get the referral’s contact information. Some wanted warm leads with only contact information necessary. It is was an excellent exercise in determining how easily a referral can be given.
Snap, crackle, and pop. No, it wasn’t about rice crispies but it was chiropractor, Dr. Stephen Edwards, giving his 10 minute presentation. He educated us on how important seeing a chiropractor can be for all ages. We now have a better knowledge on who will be good referrals to his practice.
Carrie Gulledge, hairstylist, has submitted her application for membership. The membership committee is reviewing her application and I hopefully will be inducting yet another new member to Trussville BNI.
Look forward to seeing you there.
